  • Learn to take professional measurements

  • Learn to cut out your fabrics and patterns pieces

  • Reading and understanding patterns

  • Sew tracksuit pants with pockets to fit you

  • Sew a relaxed sweater to fit you

  • Learn to sew stretch fabric

The Social Sewing Morning

Price: R1,000 Monthly (Recurring Membership)

Your dedicated weekly morning creative escape. Designed for past students and intermediate sewists. Bring your own patterns and independent projects, utilize our beautiful studio, and enjoy hands-on, assisted guidance to troubleshoot tricky steps. Tuesdays or Fridays from 09:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

  • Your Project, Your Pace: Bring the patterns and fabric you love; we provide the space and support.

  • On-Demand Expert Help: Get stuck on a step? I’m right there to guide you through tricky techniques and fitting adjustments.

  • Weekly Creative Community: A dedicated, social environment to hold you accountable to your sewing goals.

Over the last decade, I’ve fallen deeply in love with the process of turning a flat piece of fabric into something beautiful, functional, and uniquely my own. Sewing has brought so much joy, creativity, and calm to my life, and that is exactly what I want to share with you.Why I Focus on Beginners
Let’s be honest: stepping up to a sewing machine for the first time can feel a little intimidating. Threads get tangled, needles break, and those instruction manuals can look like a foreign language!I created Red Scissors Sewing Studio to take the intimidation out of the craft. My classes are kept small, relaxed, and entirely judgment-free. We don't focus on perfection here; we focus on progress, practical skills, and having fun.What We Do
Whether you want to learn how to thread a machine, sew your very first tote bag, or finally conquer zips and garment basics, I’m here to guide you step-by-step. You don't need any prior experience to join a workshop or sewing course—just your curiosity!When I’m not teaching or working on my own sewing projects, you can usually find me spending time with my two beautiful girls,hubby, otto my german shepard and kitty loki, I love swimming and reading a good historical biographyI can't wait to meet you, sit down at the machine together, and help you bring your first creative projects to life.
